Our meeting on 21st July sees Mike Frost return to speak to the society at Chelveston Village Hall at 8pm. We have been fortunate in having Mike speak to us a number of times previously and this time his topic is ‘The Green Flash’

Mike is a Systems Engineer by profession and is well known in the astronomical community. He frequently travels to view Total Solar Eclipses and astronomical sites worldwide as part of his work as a Guest Astronomer for Astro-Trails.

Mike is a trustee of the British Astronomical Association and since 2010 has been the Historical Section Director of the BAA. A member of the Coventry and Warwickshire Astronomical Society and the Society for the History of Astronomy.

Mike will speak to us about ‘The Green Flash’ a rare optical sight which is sometimes visible briefly during sunrise and sunset and occasionally with bright planets such as Venus and Jupiter as they rise and set.
