Next Starnight Observing Session:  Friday 22nd October at Chelveston Village Hall, Caldecott Road, Chelveston from 8.00pm.  This evening will only go ahead if the weather forecast looks likely to permit observing.  To confirm that the session will proceed please check our Twitter feed from 6.30 on the evening.

Next Sudborough Meeting:   Thursday 3rd November at Sudborough Village Hall, Main Street, Sudborough at 8.00pm.  ‘An Introduction to Variable Star Observing’ by Gary Poyner.  Admission £3.

Monday 21st November:  ‘A Comet’s Tale’ by Dr Jon Shanklin.  Dr Jonathan Shanklin, who recently retired as Director of the British Astronomical Association Comet Section, will describe some of the great comets of historical times, show the contribution of amateur observers to comet science and will look forward to any comets that may become easily visible in the near future.     Chelveston Village Hall, Caldecott Road, Chelveston at 8pm.  Admission £3.
